The Young riders school is a group of enthusiasts, combining different people, who devoted all free time to development and popularization of equestrian sport in Latvia, organizing competitions and informing the public about success of Latvian sportsmen in native land and outside the country.

We love horses and also respect our sportsmen and their progress. If you’d like to become a young rider, as we call ourselves, there are no age, sex or other kinds of limits – you just need to love horses and wish to work for their good. The team of the Young riders school is people with different life knowledge and work experience: someone rides a horse, someone works out routes, someone is an owner of a horse and someone watches them from afar. Professions and everyday work of many members of our team have little in common with equestrian sport, horses and animals in principle.

The Young riders school was founded on April 20, 2007. During three years we have had six local and four international competitions among which some competitions deserve special attention and have become a tradition – Latvian Horse Day and prestige competitions, acknowledged by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (The Fédération Équestre Internationale), Baltic Riders Tour.
