The mission of the Federation of downhill skiing in Georgia is to train sportsmen of world value among Georgian skiers and snowboarders, create infrastructure and conditions on the territory of Georgia, contributing to a mass development of downhill skiing and snowboarding.

The Federation of Georgian downhill skiing daily solves a number of tasks for achieving set tasks:

• development and popularization of downhill skiing and snowboarding in Georgia, the growth of the role of these kinds of sports in all-round and harmonious development of a person, strengthening of health, forming a healthy lifestyle of population;
• organization and implementation of championships, cups, top rankings and other official competitions of downhill skiing and snowboarding and also international competitions of downhill skiing and snowboarding on the territory of Georgia;
• improvement of the training system for sportsmen of the high qualification, provision of activities on preparation for participation in international sports competitions;
• development and strengthening of international connections with national federations and leagues of downhill skiing and snowboarding of foreign countries;
• implementation of work, intended for formation, development and coordination of professional, amateur and children’s-youthful downhill skiing and snowboarding;
